Jesus the Branch of righteousness

The prophets Jeremiah, Isaiah and Zechariah prophesied about Jesus by calling him the Branch.

Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, That I will raise to David a Branch of righteousness; A King shall reign and prosper, And execute judgment and righteousness in the earth.

Jeremiah 23:5

In that day the Branch of the Lord shall be beautiful and glorious; and the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and appealing for those of Israel who have escaped.

Isaiah 4:2

Then speak to him, saying, Thus says the Lord of hosts, saying: Behold, the Man whose name is the Branch! From His place He shall branch out, And He shall build the temple of the Lord

Zechariah 6:12

Jesus is the branch of righteousness of the Lord, he built the temple of the Lord.
Jesus did not build a temple made of stones, but by sacrificing himself to the cross he reconciled us to God, Christians are the temple of God.

Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?

1 Corinthians 6:19

But Jesus answered them, saying, The hour has come that the Son of Man should be glorified. Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain.

John 12:23-24

Jesus sacrificed himself on the cross to give us life, we have the forgiveness of our sins through him, Jesus died for all men without exception.

Jesus compared himself to that grain of wheat, which to give life must die, and after it bears much fruit, the fruits represent all the people who accepted Jesus as their Lord and Saviour.

Jesus died on the cross, He was resurrected on the third day, He gave his life.
Now nothing separates us from God.

For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:38

Let us thank God every day for the wonderful work of Jesus on the cross, in Christ we have a new life.
