Jesus the fountain of living water

During his earthly ministry, Jesus spent in Samaria, where he met a resident of that place,

A woman of Samaria came to draw water. Jesus said to her, “Give Me a drink.”
For His disciples had gone away into the city to buy food.
Then the woman of Samaria said to Him, “How is it that You, being a Jew, ask a drink from me, a Samaritan woman?” For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.
Jesus answered and said to her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.
The woman said to Him, “Sir, You have nothing to draw with, and the well is deep. Where then do You get that living water?
Are You greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well, and drank from it himself, as well as his sons and his livestock?”
Jesus answered and said to her, “Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.”

John 4:7-14

Jesus teaches us here that he possesses an eternal water source and he wants to give it for free to all those who wish, if we ask Jesus this water, it will fill us with his love, his peace and his mercy.
Water quenches our thirst, fills our lack, he makes us feel good, and it is only Jesus that can quench our soul.

Water is necessary for life, without water there would be no life on Earth, we need to drink water for our body but we also need to come to the source of living water that is Jesus for the life of our soul.

The living water never dries up, Jesus is the eternal renewal.
Jesus is the life, he has eternal life in his hands.

On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.

John 7:37-39

The rivers of living water are the powerful manifestation of the Holy Spirit, where the Spirit of God dwells in us, we have this spiritual abundance that God offers.
From beginning to eternity water is present in the Bible,

Now a river went out of Eden to water the garden, and from there it parted and became four riverheads.

Genesis 2:10

And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts. He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son.

Revelation 21:6-7

God loves us, he wants to fill our hearts with his love, he wants us to go to him for what he has planned for us, eternal life.

And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb. In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

Revelation 22:1-2

We all need this water to live, we need Jesus, Jesus is the source of living water you need, open your heart to Jesus.
