Jesus the Lion of Judah

But one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll and to loose its seven seals.”

Revelation 5:5

Jesus is the Lion of Judah, He was of the seed of David, of the tribe of Judah, Jesus is victorious, he conquered death, he delivered us from the power of sin, it is our strength and our hope.

Death has no power over those who have put their lives in Jesus Christ, this victory over death, Jesus has acquired at the price of his life, he is the Lamb of God :

The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!

John 1:29

Jesus offered in sacrifice, God’s judgment fell on him, he took our place on the cross, his blood was shed to wash away our sins, he is the sacrificial lamb :

Then I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne, the living creatures, and the elders; and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands, saying with a loud voice:

“Worthy is the Lamb who was slain
To receive power and riches and wisdom,
And strength and honor and glory and blessing!”

Revelation 5:11-12

Today we have everything in him, it frees us from the bondage of sin :

you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power

Colossians 2:10

He reconciled us with the Father, our Creator and now we can say Abba! Father !

For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God

Romans 8:15-16

Give glory to God for sending us Jesus and give glory to Jesus for saving us from perdition :

And every creature which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, I heard saying:

“Blessing and honor and glory and power
Be to Him who sits on the throne,
And to the Lamb, forever and ever!”

Revelation 5:13
